Cornerstone Boulder Weekly Podcast

Fortitude is the strength to remain faithful when life gets difficult, to endure hardship, and to keep doing what is good even when the cost is high. Through Scripture, the wisdom of Christian thinkers, and real-life stories, Brian will lead us to discover how Christian fortitude goes beyond human determination and finds its deepest source in Jesus.

In this message, Aaron explores the virtue of Prudence and how God invites us to both receive and grow in wisdom through The Holy Spirit and our daily experiences. Drawing from Scripture and church history, we discover how prudence enables us to perceive the reality of our circumstances, discern what is true and good, and respond wisely in reverence and obedience to God.

What does it mean to live a good life, and what kind of person are we becoming? Brian helps us discover how the practice of virtue, shaped by grace, and the work of the Holy Spirit, helps form Christlike character in us over a lifetime.

You can be a Christian for twenty-two years and still be a one-year-old Christian twenty-two times. That's the haunting observation from Pete Scazzero that anchors Gabe's message and the question it raises for all of us: are we actually maturing, or just getting older? This message maps that journey through what generations of Christians have discovered about spiritual growth: mind, body, and soul and what it actually takes to move from believing the right things about God to becoming like Him.

In this message Brian explores the power of generational influence. What has been deposited in us by our families, mentors, and spiritual community, and what we are now depositing into others. Through Psalm 78, the story of Eric Motley, and personal stories of faith passed from one generation to another, we’re challenged to consider how God can use us to shape the generations that come after us.

Jesus is the river, and every stream of faith we've ever known flows out of him. In Kari's message, we trace the seven streams of Jesus' life and discover how much fuller our faith becomes when we drink from all of them.

Our souls are thirsty, and Jesus is the living water we were made for. In Brian's message, we explore the cisterns we turn to for fulfillment, and what it means to build a church that points people toward Jesus, the true source of life.
